By keeping the products, you use simple and intuitive when you're under stress, you increase your chances of saving a life. BCA has always been involved in high-performance backcountry equipment, from developing the world's first digital avalanche detector to popularizing avalanche airbags and hands-free radios.
But products are only a means to an end. Ultimately, we want to maximize fun and minimize avalanche casualties for all off-piste enthusiasts. We are constantly developing our product line, focusing on simplicity and prevention, good communication and extensive educational programs.
Backcountry Access, i.e. BCA, a brand that was created out of passion for mountain expeditions and even more for the desire to return safely from them. A ski tourer, splitboarder or hiker in winter does not want to give up mountain trips, especially since there is even more magic in the mountains in winter than in other seasons. To make it possible to secure movement in such conditions, BCA not only provides us with top-class products, but also educates how to use them and what basic rules should be followed. And all this so that we can tell our children, maybe even grandchildren, about each trip. And the stories about those who didn’t come back … were as few as possible.
