Our Responsibility

At Larix, we believe that responsible business starts with everyday actions. That is why we consistently implement solutions that help reduce the environmental impact of our operations, improve workplace comfort and safety, and support local initiatives.

Environment

Every day, we take steps to use resources more efficiently and reduce the amount of waste we generate.

Waste Management and Recycling

We separate waste at all of our locations.

We send plastic film and paper waste for recycling in cooperation with specialized recycling partners.

We collect used batteries and electronic waste and ensure they are properly recycled.

Energy and Emissions Reduction

Three of our locations are equipped with photovoltaic installations with a combined capacity of 125 kW.

The electricity generated by our photovoltaic installations covers, on average, 40–60% of our annual electricity demand, depending on the location and weather conditions.

In addition, we are gradually replacing conventional lighting with energy-efficient LED fixtures.

Less Paper and Plastic

We prioritize digital solutions, helping us reduce paper consumption and minimize the number of printed documents.

At the same time:

  • we have phased out printed promotional leaflets, shifting our marketing activities to digital channels
  • we limit the use of advertising banners to the absolute minimum
  • we are gradually eliminating single-use plastics from our day-to-day business operations

Commitment to Environmental Initiatives

We actively support environmental education and initiatives that promote care for the natural environment, including a series of educational workshops organized by our Szarotka branch.

People

Our people are our greatest asset. We are committed to supporting the well-being, safety, and professional development of our employees.

We provide our employees with:

Access to filtered and mineralized drinking water.

The use of reusable mugs and water bottles to help reduce waste.

A healthy work-life balance.

We also continuously invest in improving working conditions by expanding our air conditioning systems.

We continuously enhance workplace safety by:

  • expanding our fire protection systems,
  • increasing the number of safety sensors,
  • providing first aid training,
  • providing fire safety training, including hands-on exercises in the proper use of fire extinguishers and fire hydrants.

Safety

Supporting Local Communities

As a company, we actively support educational and community initiatives.

We organize environmental and gardening workshops for primary school and preschool children, helping the youngest generations develop environmental awareness and an understanding of sustainable practices.

We also cooperate with vocational and technical schools, providing students with opportunities to complete practical training and gain valuable hands-on work experience.

Promoting an Active and Healthy Lifestyle

For many years, we have supported initiatives that promote physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.

We work closely with the organizers of sporting events, sports clubs, and outdoor communities, contributing to the development of sport at all levels of participation.

Our initiatives include, among others:

  • supporting running, cycling, mountain sports, and outdoor events,
  • collaborating with sports event organizers and industry partners,
  • supporting athletes and ambassadors representing outdoor sports,
  • promoting an active lifestyle through our brands and educational initiatives,
  • encouraging people to spend more time outdoors and to enjoy nature responsibly.

We believe that physical activity, spending time in nature, and active recreation have a positive impact on health, well-being, and quality of life.

That is why we are proud to support initiatives that inspire people to stay active throughout the year.
